The CDD8is an ultra-compacttwo-way passiveloudspeaker syste m with an integrated 8” (200 m m) LF/1” (25 m m) exit HF Coaxial Differential Dispersion driver which can be easily r ot at e d f or h ori z o nt al or v erti c al ori e nt ati o n d e p e n di n g o n v e n u e design require ments. Its s mall size gives no indication of its high output capability. As a stand-alone loudspeaker, it has a multitude of applications and can also be incorporated as an infill loudspeaker in distributed syste ms using larger C D D m o d el s, s u c h a s t h e C D D 1 2 a n d C D D 1 5.
The Coaxial Differential Dispersion technology e mployed in the CDD8delivers moreconsistentaudiencecoveragethansystems with fixed X° x Y° coverage patterns — projectingrelatively more output to the rear of the audience, while having wide horizontal coverage close-up. Its innovative C D D driver achieves ‘point source’ su m mation of the LF and HF sections — eli minating off-axis variations in frequency response associated with non- coaxial desig ns. I m provi ng o n co nve ntio nal coaxial desig ns, which can suffer fro m high-frequency bea ming, the driver features a static waveguide that merges sea mlessly with the unique cone shape — maintaining the dispersion pattern out to very highfrequencies.

When used withthe DX4.0 controller or aniKON amplifier, there are now enhanced DSP and FIR based pre-setsto deliver the absolute maxi mu m perfor mance and fidelity while li miter settings protecttheintegrity ofthe syste m.
